Thal Kedar
Thal Kedar is a pilgrim site at 880 m, reached by a narrow path, with an ancient Shiva temple named in the Skanda Purana.
A narrow path leads to Thal Kedar, a place of pilgrimage 880 metres above sea level.
Its old Shiva temple is the reason people come, and the Skanda Purana names it. The site also looks out across the valley.
Large numbers of visitors arrive each year at Shivratri. The final 3 km from the road end is on foot, so wear shoes made for walking.
